The Nickel Chloride is an anhydrous crystalline salt that is solid green in color with a slight odor of hydrogen chloride. It is hygroscopic and deliquescent and rarely found in nature as mineral Nickelodeon. It is the most important source of nickel for chemical synthesis. Easily soluble in cold water and alcohol, it is mainly used for electroplating.
